Installation Design

Drive-in Installation

(Documentation)

This was a final project for the Surround and Installation class, during which I worked with fellow classmate, Craig Cassidy. The main driving force behind this project was to use it to help save the local drive in. A fundraiser was started and this art installation was a labor of love to help the cause of buying a new digital projector for the drive in. This installation mimics what it was like to watch a movie showing at your local drive in. We created a video and soundscape incorporating footage of the drive in and sounds you would hear there. We used small T.V. monitors and created a looping video of black and white stills to mimic headlights, repaired old drive in speakers and played the audio through those, and created a mock car for people to sit in and really immerse themselves in the experience.

3D BFA Art Show

(Documentation)

I put on this BFA show at the end of the spring semester of 2014. This show incorporates the mediums of both 3D photography and 3D video. On one side you have both a 3D faculty slideshow and a 3D music video, that was put together with the use of Cineform, a go pro 3D camera rig, GH2 for 3D stills, and both were edited using Final Cut Pro 7.

On the other side of the room, you have some 3D photography that was printed and mounted. These stills were shot using a Panasonic Lumix GH2 and edited in Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Rising Star Multisensory Art Installation

(Documentation)

This was a multisensory art installation that focused on accessibility. It was a class project, for the 2015 - 2016 AmeriCorps Cultural Technology Class. In this project we took the poem, Rising Star - which was written by our classmate, Tara Trudell - and brought it to life by utilizing our knowledge in different mediums of media and senses, such as: video, audio, touch, smell, atmosphere, lighting, and interactivity. We incorporated a sign language video and braille to make it more inclusive to those with disabilities.
